Q: Do these work in the UK climate?
A: Yes — these are designed with British weather in mind. They're IP65-rated, which means they're fully protected against rain, splashing water, and wind. Q: How long do they stay lit each night?
A: After a full day's charge in direct sunlight, expect 6–8 hours of light. On overcast days the charge will be lower, typically giving you 4–6 hours. The built-in sensor switches them on automatically at dusk and off at dawn, so you never have to think about it.

Q: Do they work in winter when there's less sunlight?
A: They do, though the runtime will be shorter on days with limited daylight. Solar panels still generate charge from diffuse light — they don't need direct sun. In mid-winter you can expect around 3–5 hours of light on most days. Positioning them in the brightest spot available in your garden will make a noticeable difference.

Q: How difficult is installation?
A: There's nothing to it. Each torch comes with a ground stake — just push it into your lawn, border, or soil and it's done. No wiring, no tools, no electrician. The whole process takes about 30 seconds per torch. They're also easy to reposition if you change your mind about placement.

Q: Can I leave them outside all year round?
A: Yes. The IP65 waterproof rating means they're suitable for permanent outdoor installation. They're built to withstand rain, frost, and UV exposure. That said, if you're expecting a prolonged freeze or extreme weather, bringing them inside temporarily will extend their lifespan.

Q: Do the lights have an on/off switch?
A: Yes — there's a small switch on the unit. For normal use, leave it in the "on" position and the built-in light sensor will handle the rest, switching the torch on at dusk and off at sunrise automatically. You can also switch them off manually if needed, for example when you want them off during outdoor events.

Q: How tall are the torches, and how much ground stake is there?
A: Each torch is 79cm tall in total, with approximately 20cm of that being the ground stake. That leaves around 59cm of visible torch above the ground — tall enough to make a real visual impact along a pathway or border.
